If you meant pEace... well, that expression «peace and love» was the naif motto of hippies and all dreaming ones: those two words would summarize their wishes about the future of the world.
If you want my opinion, nice wish but a bit silly; I mean it's okay talking about brotherly/parental/friendly love, but how about passion love? No peace if you're in it...

Hello,
"Pace" means rate of movement ,progress or performance , so if someone told you do something at your own pace ,means at the rate of any of the above that suits you and your own capabilities.
Example: Each one exercises at his own pace . Not everyone has got the same level of fitness ,so each at his or her own pace.
