"intent" plus a clause with "be" word Henry begins a series of letters to his brother with the intent that they be published if Charles deems them worthy and can find a newspaper that is interested. I can't figure out why the setence above use "be" after "intent". Can you explain it?

Look up the topic of 'Subjunctives' in your grammar book, and you'll find the explanation there. And remember that 'u' is not a word. Nobody will ever take your writing seriously if you don't write the word 'you' properly.
