I don't get the sentence"sure, what with it being her funeral and all." S01E08 Friends: …… Mrs. Geller: (to Monica) Your grandmother would have hated this. Monica: Well, sure, what with it being her funeral and all. Mrs. Geller: No, I'd be hearing about 'Why didn't I get the honey-glazed ham?', I didn't spend enough on flowers, and if I spent more she'd be saying 'Why are you wasting your money? I don't need flowers, I'm dead'. what's the meaning of "sure, what with it being her funeral and all." and I want to know how to use "what with it being...(or what with it...?)" Could you give me an example? Thank you.

'What with it being,' effectively means 'As it is ...,' for example 'What with it being Monday, which of us will get the takeaway tonight?' = 'As it is Monday, who will get the takeaway tonight?' (Here the situation is that this couple usually or always have takeaways on a Monday night.) In the dialogue above Monica simply means that, of course her Grandmother would hate it because she would hate being dead.'
