What is the meaning of "nennt gegen" in this sentence?; why is "gegen" also used in the sentence?
Erika nennt gegen den Lehrer.

I second what Andreas wrote. This sentence doesn't make sense. The verb "nennen" needs an accusative object. Examples are:
Man nennt ihn Tom.
Er nennt seinen Namen.
"Nennen" isn't used with the preposition "gegen".

It could also mean that she´s running in a race against her teacher? Maybe he or she meant that?
