it just goes in one ear and out the other , expression
Hello, folks
please read blow conversations.
A: I feel like it goes in one ear out the other with you, what's going on?
B:Sorry, I was lost in thought. say what?
I made up the dialogue .
I'm wondering if it makes sense or there are any good expressions .
Thank you!

It's perfectly fine, except the last phrase, "Say what?"
We use "Say what?" to mean "I don't believe what you just told me." It's an expression of disbelief. Just use a regular phrase such as, "What did you say just now?"
