Regret it or Regret about it ? Hello! Would appreciate if you answered the question: Should I use "about" after the verb "regret"? How to say correctly?

Good question. Both can be used depending on your sentence structure. You regret things that you have done or you can HAVE regrets about something. So: You can REGRET IT. or You can HAVE REGRETS ABOUT it. Hope that helps. Good Luck!

If you use 'regret' as a verb, you don't use about. You have two options 1. regret+noun 2. regret+verb+ing 1. I regret my mistake 2. I regret that decision 1. I regret buying the house 2. I regret saying that to her

Hi Olga, You do not need to use "about" with "regret". Examples: If you use it as a verb, you may write: I regret telling you my secret. I regret my actions. In these sentences, "regret" means the ACTION of feeling sorry and wishing something was done differently. If you use it as a noun, you may write: I would like to express my regret. Life is full of regrets. In these sentences, "regret" means a state of BEING sorry that something was not done properly. Hope this helps. Cheers, Lance
