Some of them I remember now: "Tra il dire e il fare c'e' di mezzo il mare" Between saying and doing there's the sea. It means that is easy to say rather than do. "Non dire gatto se non ce l'hai nel sacco" Don't say cat if you haven't it in the sack. It is used for meaning that saying something before being sure about it is imprudent. "Chi va con lo zoppo impara a zoppicare" She/he who goes along with a lame person learns limping. It's used to say that going along with bad people can lead on the bad roads. "La fortuna è cieca ma la sfortuna ci vede benissimo" The fortune is blind but misfortune can see very well. "Chi e' causa del suo male pianga se stesso" She/he who makes her/his own misfortune cry on herself/himeself. It means that who does something wrong can blame only herself/himself. "Dagli amici mi guardi Dio, che dai nemici mi guardo io" May God to protect me from friends because I can see to my enemies by myself. "Chi trova un amico trova un tesoro" She/he who find a friend find a treasure.
