Someone who commits a criminal offence commits an act which is against the law. For example, stealing clothes from a shop. A criminal complaint is a set of documents which sets out the reasons of the person filing the complaint. The complaint details the person/persons the complaint is being filed against, the date of the alleged offence and a description of the offence. A restraining order protects a person or business from the person/persons the order is made against. This could be to prevent harassment.
