English, aside for it is being the universal language, i think you can find a lot of factors or resources to learn it...t.v/radio/billboards/ads/newspaper/etc... and you can get used to it.

Spanish, italian, portuguese - roman languages. They are the easiest languages in the world.

english :P well, compared to chinese and arabic, that is. next to english, it's spanish.

It's easy to learn the language that is close to your native language or the language that is in the same language family. Such languages are close in many characteristics such as grammar constructions, vocabulary similarities etc. For example, for russians it's easier to learn Ukrain then Arabic or Greek. And the another aspect is motivation - so if you want you'll speak any language you want. :)
