I imagine you already know the mysterious grammar structures here, just in a different form 다치진 않았어요 = 다치다 + 는 (topic marker) + 지 않다 + 과거시제 You could rewrite this as 다치지는 않았어요; 다치진 않았어요 is just the contracted form (like do not --> don't in English) 얼른 퇴원하셔야죠 = 얼른 퇴원하다 + 시다 (honorific) + 해야 되다 (should) + 지요 (agreement seeking ending) 얼른 퇴원하셔야죠 can be rewritten as 얼른 퇴원하셔야 되지요; 얼른 퇴원하셔야죠 is again just a combination of contracted word forms. 여자 : 어떻게 하다가 이렇게 다쳤어요? Woman: What were you doing when you got hurt? 남자 : 계단에서 넘어졌는데 크게 다치진 않았어요. Man: I fell down the stairs, but I wasn't severely hurt (hurt in a big way). 여자 : 다행이네요. 얼른 퇴원하셔야죠.
