Difference between BrEng and AmEng It's interesting that there are different verbs are used in BrEng and AmEng in the same situation. For example, british guy recommended me to use verb COLLECT in this sentence "His mom will collect him from kinder garten" and American guy said that it is better to use PICK UP in that sentence - "His mom will PICK him UP from kinder garten". Could you give me some more examples when there are used different verbs in BrEng and AmEng.

Yljaha, Pick sb up is also common in British English, but it's less formal than 'collect'. Having said that, my son's (British) school uses both 'pick up' and 'collect' in notifications. One overall comment. Because of Hollywood and the strong American influence on British culture, many British people are no longer sure what is British English and what is American English. I remember about 20 years ago, British people would often think you were a bit weird or pretentious if you said 'Awesome'. Now it's quite common.
