How do you wish someone a good week in italian? Hello, this seems like a simple question, but I don't know the exact answer. Sometimes, in different languages, things are said differently or are not really said frequently, and this happens with greetings like this. How would you say "Have a great week"! in Italian ? I've learned that for these expressions it's better to ask native speakers than to try to translate it literally. Grazie mille !

Buon fine settimana. or: Buon week-end. These are the most common forms. The verb 'passare' or 'avere' is implicit ans seldom spoken.

You can say "Passa una buona settimana" or "Abbi una buona settimana" (less used) or simply "Buona settimana" but as you said this is not a very used expression. It's more common if it's related to the weekend: "Buon weekend" , "Passa un buon weekend", "Abbi un buon weekend" (less used). NOTE: I know "weekend" is not Italian (the translation is "fine-settimana" ) but nowadays this english term has entered our vocabulary and it's more used than the italian one :D
