Estoy leyendo un libroe en inglés de Dorian Gray, pero no entiendo a qué se refieren en la oración: ' a longer mountain of the moon'.
El párrafo completo dice asi: Lady Windermere said: I must introduce you. Dutchess, this is Mr Podgers, my palm reader. Mr Podgers, this is the Duchess of Paisley. If you say that she has a longer mountaiun of the moon on her nad than mine, I 'll never believe in you again.

Un "mountain of the moon" se refiere a un parte de la mano. Cuando se trata de palm reading, diferentes partes de la mano asumen varias significados. El "lifeline" significa que tan largo será la vida. El "mountain of the moon," or "mount of the moon," significa el creatividad de una persona. Cuanto más grande sea, más creativa será una persona.

Las montañas de la luna le llaman algunos a una cordillera del África, de lejos se puede ver en la parte superior color blanco (nieve), parece que esa frase esta dicha hipotéticamente refiriéndose a algo muchísimo mas grande que eso en la palma de su mano.
