Is this ok?It’s 10 minutes’ bus ride.
I know we can say ‘it’s a 10-minute bus ride’. And I’m wondering whether we can say ‘it’s 10 minutes’ bus ride’. Don’t we need ‘a’ here?
Is it more common to say ‘it’s a 10-minute bus ride’?
Thanks

The correct version is “It’s a 10-minute bus ride.” You’re right — we absolutely do need the indefinite article with the singular countable noun (“ride”). The other version is not used. An alternate wording would be “a bus ride of 10 minutes”, but that strikes me as a bit long-winded and slightly unnatural sounding.
