"Out of whack" is not the same as "whacked out".
"Out of whack" means "out of order" or "does not work properly".

"Out of whack" is an American expression. To say "something is out of whack" is to mean it is out of order, out of line, out of tune, out of the ordinary, disproportionate, inappropriate and in short not right.

Hi this is also slang for a part of you that doesn't feel right eg My back/neck is out of whack, I will have to see the chiropractor. Another way of expressing this phrase is 'out of sync' which is short for 'out of syncronization'.
