What is the difference between “slap” and “smack”?
Could you give me some example where it should be “smack” instead of “slap”?Thank you!

Hi Ethan
I understand you saw these words in the same context. They actually mean the same: a sharp blow or smack, especially with the open hand or with something flat.
* The girl slapped/smacked him in the face.
* Do you want a smack/slap? (What I regularly hear mums ask their naughty child in a supermarket 😉)
Does this answer your question?

The other driver smacked into the back of my car.
He was smacking his lips while eating.
He smacked his head into a pole.
I just smacked the back of my leg into the car seat.
are a couple examples where it would be "smack" instead of "slap".
