Asking to cancel my shifts - email to my boss I want to take some days off so I need to send an email to my scheduling manager, she's a native English speaker and I'm not, so I don't want to make a fool of myself. She's a friend so it does not have to be so formal. I just want to make sure this is a natural way of asking to cancel your shifts in American English ------ Hey Andy! How are you doing? I'll be taking the psychometric test on the 2nd of June (02\06) So I will have to cancel my shifts on 31\05 (Sunday) and 1\06 (Monday) I will also have to cancel the following shifts as well: 29\06 30\06 01\07 02\07 I hope it's not a problem. Let me know. Thanks! --------

I would say that’s perfect!

It's fine, except we write dates with the month first, using a forward slash, and without a zero for numbers below 10, e.g.: 6/2 5/31
