It is the second of three children in a family. I am a middle child. I have never heard of this syndrome that Johar mentions.

"middle child means ,that the child is not the oldest nor the youngest .(has an older sibling and a younger sibling). There is also a syndrome call MIDDLE CHILD SYNDROME . It is said the middle child fells neglected from the lac of attention and some case he/she never mounts to anything or achieve much in live

If there are 3 children, then the first one is the eldest child, the second one is called the middle child and the third one is the youngest child.
