Electric and electrical are adjectives that mean having to do with electricity or applications of electricity. Electric is used together with another noun to describe an application of electricity: electric motor, electric iron, electric car. Maybe it can only flow in one direction, or can only flow when a voltage is a applied between one point and another point. These components are usually made from a semiconductor material that does allow electrons to flow, but not as freely as a metal conductor does. The conductivity, or ability to allow electrons to flow within a semiconductor can also be made to vary according to different conditions.
