INTERESTING:) pasand => in Persian, we have this word with the same meaning. sirf => again, we have the word "صرفا"(serfan----> the "an" makes it an adverb) and it just means "only" ^_^ sherwaat=> there is the word "شروع"( shuru' ) in persian. and Tushar said that "shuru'aat" is the same for "sherwaat". "aa" in "shuru'aat", I may say, is the plural suffix:-? . and for "poochne", we have the word "پرسيدن،پرسش"(porsidan=infinitive, porsesh=noun). maybe they're coming from the same roots:-?? altogether, finding these common roots raised my interest for learning Hindi^_^
