"feeling centered" is to feel grounded. Often after personal trauma, when the mist has lifted comes an inner peace. One might call that feeling centered.

Totally agree. Centered = Content, comfortable, and at peace.

Centered = Content, comfortable, and at peace. It doesn't really have anything to do with feeling distracted. It's an inner calm.
