Has the expression 'bright promise' an especial meaning?

Normally you would not say "bright promise". This is somewhat redundant. You would simply say "promise." For example, you could say, "His future looks bright," or "His future shows promise." You probably wouldn't say "His future shows bright promise." (I assume you mean promise in this way, not as in a statement of commitment.)

No special meaning. It means his future looks bright.
