Hi, How about you try to remember its by watching movies and reading the subtitle.Or just simply, use mp3, cds, cassette to record the words that you want to remember with the meaning in chinese, and listen to it. My very simple own way: I open the dictionary and take new word to remember, everyday. and use it in writing about 5 to 10 sentence. Hope this will help you a bit.

Welcome to italki! I am learning Japanese and I find it really difficult to remember new words also. I find that the words that do stay in my mind tend to be strange and useless while I easily forget useful words. Second language learning truly is a mystery to me. Good luck!
