Having a native speaker to converse with helps a lot in motivating me! Most times when I want to learn a language, my main problem is not having someone to use it with. A big reason I managed to continue learning Brazilian Portuguese is because I had (and still have) the opportunity to interact with a lot of Brazilians on Twitter!
