It’s interesting that a survey tells there still are huge numbers of people believe in ghost nowadays. What is your opinion about ghost? I will show you mine first.
When I was very young, one day I had asked my mother whether ghost existed or not, and she gave me the positive answer with her couple of experiences witnessing paranormal events. At the night, I was scared to not sleeping alone, so the belief in ghost had stuck in my mind since then.
However, I have come to put away that belief with time passing and got to develop a reasonable perception of the world. We live in a scientific and modern society, and we tend to believe what we see, hear, smell and touch. China is a country filled with various stories of ghosts and spirits, especially in form of play, opera, tale, and even a particular holiday connects to the concept. On the other hand, as I noticed, paranormal stories usually happen in some rural areas where often seen as backwards, as well as a bunch of witnesses appear to be uptight in their personalities. Additionally, fascinating operas or movies in terms of ghost and spirits are mainly made to entertain the audience.
Is my answer for that negative? not really. I like the idea of a scientist, he was like “It would feel totally nonsense if you state the existence of electricity three hundred years ago, so does that your voice and photos can manager to be sent anywhere on the planet immediately. Things remain unknown to what science has not revealed yet.” Certainly, we understand very little about the universe and ourselves as yet. What if ghost and spirits were in parallel world? In my opinion, the question on the top of this writing has no correct answer, I leave it open.

It’s interesting that a survey tells us that there are still huge numbers of people who believe in ghosts nowadays. What is your opinion about ghosts? I’ll share mine first.
When I was very young, I once asked my mother whether ghosts existed or not, and she gave me a positive answer, along with a couple of her own experiences of witnessing paranormal events. That night, I was too scared to sleep alone, so the belief in ghosts stuck in my mind from then on.
However, as time passed, I came to put that belief aside and developed a more rational understanding of the world. We live in a scientific and modern society, and we tend to believe what we can see, hear, smell, and touch.
China is a country filled with various stories about ghosts and spirits, especially in the form of plays, operas, and tales. There is even a particular holiday connected to these concepts.
On the other hand, as I’ve noticed, paranormal stories usually take place in rural areas, which are often regarded as less developed. In addition, many of the witnesses seem to have rather reserved or tense personalities.
Furthermore, fascinating operas and films about ghosts and spirits are mainly created to entertain audiences.
Does this mean that my answer is negative? Not really. I like the idea expressed by a scientist who said something along the lines of, “It would have seemed completely nonsensical to claim that electricity existed three hundred years ago. Yet today, your voice and photos can be transmitted anywhere on the planet almost instantly. There are still many things that remain unknown because science has not revealed them yet.”
Certainly, we still understand very little about the universe and ourselves. What if ghosts and spirits existed in a parallel world?
In my opinion, the question at the top of this writing has no definitive answer, so I’ll leave it open.

A more academic reading could be the following: It is fascinating that modern surveys reveal a significant portion of the global population continues to believe in the paranormal. Whether ghosts truly exist remains a subject of enduring debate.
