Why does IELTS Writing stay at 6.5 even when your English is good? One common reason is that students keep trying to use “better vocabulary” when the real problem is task response or organisation. If your Writing score has stayed the same across several tests, look at: Are you fully answering every part of the task? Is your position clear throughout? Does each paragraph have one clear purpose? Improving IELTS Writing is often less about learning more English and more about understanding exactly where the score is being lost.
