Today was gloomy with a brief storm right around dusk. Thankfully, I’ve finally kicked that flu, but Dad’s still blowing his nose nonstop—green mucus, which pretty much guarantees he’s contagious. Mom, sweet as ever, whipped up a batch of homemade steamed meatballs just for him. I figure she treats him better than me! Yesterday, all I got was takeout congee and soggy vermicelli rolls. Honestly, if a villain wanted to take us out, they’d only need to infect one person—it’s only a matter of time before it takes out the whole crew. The reason is simple-my dad constantly steals bites off my plate and kisses Mom without brushing his teeth.
