May 18, 2011 Shinning Days Finally I got the book from Amazon after nearly 2 months. So exciting! Once I thought I would lost it. I did a not bad presentation to the smartest persons in the world. They were so nice and talented. Hope one day I can work with one of them! I am still writing the paper which I have been doing for almost a year! Strangely, my boss didn't push me. An old friend will come to visit me. We haven't seen each other for 6 years. She was talktive and sexy, and she was sleeping above me when in college. OK, I want my life a diamond, and it is!

April 13, 2011 How many lucky clovers can you find? ;) The four-leaf clover is one of the most valuable of all good luck charms. When I was a kid, if I found one, I would pick the special leaf, put it into my dictionary and make it a dry sample. But now I never pick them, because I want them alive and give other people blessings. There are many clovers here, you can find them everywhere if you had half an eye. Every time when I am walking along a road, passing a lawn or a garden, I will try to find a four-leaf clover. If I find one, I will feel satisfied. This doesn't happen often. I guess that's why it is called 'lucky clover'. But one day last week I found several at one time! Did that mean I would be very lucky in the next days? Haha~ Actually they were all normal days, nothing special happened. Anyway I was happy when I found them. Now I would like to share this happiness with you!

March 22, 2011 Why are you so angry? We bought a water pump on Taobao a couple of days ago. It is high-power and helpful. But later we found it was too noisy, the more we worried about it the more noisy it felt like. So we decided to return it. But the service said no way. Then I had to talk to him again and again. I knew it was not easy for him to accept such kind of requirements, but I had no choice, the water pump was a little expensive to us, we can't keep it for no use. At last I gave him bad comments because that was the last thing I could do. He emphasized it was not their fault but they understood me, they could accept the return but couldn't give me back the whole money. And perhaps my comments will influence his credit. I felt it was not fair, to me and also him. I didn't know which part was wrong, just got angry and sad about what happend in this stupid day.

Mar. 4 2011 Peach flower hovel In a peach flower village there is a peach flower hovel, In the peach flower hovel lives a peach flower immortal. The peach flower immortal plants a peach tree, He picks peach flowers to exchange money for drink. He sits beside the flowers when he is awake, And sleeps under the flowers when drunk. Half drunk half awake day after day, Flowers bloom and droop year after year. I translated part of a Chinese ancient poem. The original text is much more beautiful and smooth, of which I could just represent only one percent. The pictures below were taken downstairs yesterday. The purple one on the left is named China's wild peony, I guess.

What is 'basic science'? What is 'basic science'? I asked Donald Strong a question about biological invasion, he said that was 'basic science'. (My question probably was: we always try to control something, but the restults are always unexpected. so what if we did nothing to the invasive species?)so what kind of science is higher than 'basic science'? 'Applied science'?
