In the past few years, the city where I live has been regarded as a rapid-developing yet seriously-polluted place. But with the local government attaching great importance on the environment issues, the air quality and so forth are remarkably improved. So I'd like to take my city as an example. Firstly, a growing number of nature parks are built in every corner of the city. From my point of view, it not only purifies the air, but it also enhances the diversity of species, as it takes advantage of areas and creates habbitats for indigenous species. Besides, planting trees along the road sides and even on the buildings is an effective way to protect the environment. Now, walking on the streets, I feel like I was wandering in a forest. In a nutshell, developing industries never conflicts with protecting environment, if we're willing to live in harmony with nature.

There was no night worse than today! The annoying buzz of mosquitoes echoed in my ears. No matter how I covered my ears, I could hear the slight buzz in the darkness. Not bearing for it any more, I got out of my bed, switched on the light and quickly looked around, determined to swat mosquitoes. Though the buzz still existed, I couldn't find any mosquitoes. Eventually, I had no alternative but to have a sleep with the light on, which I didn't get used to. However, the moment I was about to fall asleep, the chirp of birds came out of the window and woke me up again. It was dwan! Unknowingly, I stayed up late owing to the tiresome buzz of mosquitoes! Well, personally speaking, I like every aspect of Summer except the mosquitoes.

A TV program featuring with humour as well as insights appeals to me all the time. HORRIBLE HISTORIES, directed by Chloe Thomas, is my favourite. What makes it impressive is the various styles it shows in every episode, which reveals another side of history in a lively way. For instance, when it comes to the Stone Age, it introduces tools used previously through the form of advertising. Besides, it uses ironic ways to show that the rules of pirates weren't so tough as people expected and even a little bit "sissy". (Anyway, entertainment is just entertainment after all. I'm still half in doubt about that.) Moreover, the most funniest part is the four Georges' passionate singing. It not only injects much vitality to the program, but it also reveals darkness during Georgian dynasty in a way of self-deprecation. There're countless shining points about this program! Though its target population is kids, I really enjoy it. Maybe it's too childish for kids, but just enough for high school students. I'm sure that I'll never get bored of it.😂

Fascinated by the beauty of different cultures, I enjoy learning new languages, so as to have a deep insight into diverse art forms. Personally, I'm keen on classical music. Every time I listen to Italian opera, except for being touched by the elegant flow of notes and singing, I always wonder what actors and actresses are singing about. Besides, I think learning Italian can help me to better understand the unique beauty of its phonology, as Italian is known as "The Language of Opera". What's more, though it sounds difficult, I'm in the hope of communicating with locals and appreciating its artworks by directly reading Italian introductions when travel in Italy. It's the same hope with German and English learning. Anyway, I have to improve my comprehensive English ability first! ...

It has been a long time for me to go on a trip since I had much homework in my school. Anyway, the last trip in Japan left a deep impression on me. I really had a great time there. I travelled in Japan with my family and stayed there for 2 weeks. While being touched by its colourful culture and architectures, I was moved by friendly as well as helpful locals there. I still remembered the day I asked a girl where I could exchange foreign currency in Kyoto. At first, she apologetically shook her head and walked away. But moments later, she rushed towards me and showed me the way to the nearest XDM. It was this experience that made this trip more unforgettable. Besides, living in Minshuku was an unique experience as well. Going to the local mall to pick up our dinner and taking a walk in a nearby park at night made us feel much relaxed. We once took a taxi in Tokyo, but we failed to understanding what the taxi driver was talking about in his English, and then the funniest as well as a little bit weird scene happened. My dad kept speaking Chinese while the taxi driver kept speaking Japanese, both of them waving their hands from side to side as if they had known what they were talking about. Finally, we magically reached to our destination earlier than expected. It was like a sheer wizardry! No matter what, it was this wonderful trip that made me deeply realized there's a big difference between people and government!

The rain came drizzling in the afternoon, sprinkling raindrops on the road to lay the dust. Though it made the air clean, the traffic jam became serious. As a result, I was nearly late for my biology class. However, at dusk, the rain stopped and the sky cleared up. On the top of a nearby hill descended golden clouds spreading in the sky. Before the nightfall, the sunset finally came out, lighting up the horizon. Much to my heart's content, as I know the sunset will be more and more splendid with midsummer approaching!🌆

When communicating with others face to face, speaking a new language on one's own is really different from using a translation software. From my point of view, learning new languages equips us with more practical skills. It makes ourselves understood better as well as exchanging thoughts deeply. Besides, different linguistic logics provide new ways of pondering problems for us. Moreover, going deep into a new language, we can have a better understanding of its concept and culture, even realize the unique beauty of the language. Though learning a new language might be difficult sometimes, it's well worth the time and efforts.

It must be Ghosts!! In this TV series, Alison, the sole heir to Barton Manor, unexpectedly acquired the ability to see ghosts by falling from the window and then had numerous amusing stories with those ghosts in Baton. Although the plots may be childish sometimes, its figures of flesh and blood as well as light and fun dialogues left a deep impression on me. Furthermore, I not only laughed out loud while watching this TV series, but I also promoted my English listening as well as speaking and had deep insights into some life philosophies it conveyed, for instance: -It's so easy to make assumptions about people and then you find you don't really know them at all. Half the time, we don't even know ourselves. I suppose that we all have our little secrets. -Time is there to be enjoyed, not killed. If you're doing it right, you don't even notice the time. -There are times when one must go against the grain, make one's own decisions rather than simply following orders. As far as I'm concerned, entertaining yet philosophical is the most fascinating point of this TV series!
