Lucie is wonderful! She has a kind and friendly way of putting students at ease, and leads thoughtful & engaging conversations. I always learn something new about French language and culture in our lessons. Lucie is also super smart, creating opportunities for students to articulate complex ideas they may not have had to think about in a second language. This has been a very useful way for me to practice skills I've let get rusty. Wow, Lucie is great at keeping the conversation going and speaking at a pace that's easy to understand. I have an intermediate level of French so I can't comment for beginners but if you're looking to dramatically improve at speaking French confidently and level up your listening skills, book a lesson with Lucie. I have been taking conversation classes with Lucie for about a year and a half now. She has really helped clean up my French, correcting more subtle and nuanced use of language. She is very patient, does not talk over you, and cares about doing a good job, where you can tell that she wants to help you achieve your goals. Lucie also has a wide range of interests, ensuring that the conversation will never be dull. This will not only give you the opportunity to practice and expand your French vocabulary and sentence structures, but also to exchange ideas and learn about things, much the way you would in a conversation in your native language.

Trial lesson went well. She listened very well and corrected my mistakes. Very patient to wait as I tried to think of French words to say. Good practice for half hour. Connection was not too perfect since her computer didn't work and she's using her phone.

Lucie Masson has been a wonderful addition to my journey in learning about both the French language and the French culture. All in all, after being on iTalki for 1+ years I found her to be quite possibly the best teacher here. She is kind, patient, sweet, and engaging. Always accommodating and always helpful. She is always down for a laugh and willing to make the lesson the best for me, and I would presume for each of her other students as well. In my opinion she is indeed hands-down the best teacher I've had on iTalki. Although my journey with French is taking me elsewhere -- I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking to improve their French, learn more about French culture, and develop a deeper understanding of intercultural communications, while in a wonderful educational environment.
