The reason why I decided to join Italki as a Community Tutor is because of my love for languages and my wish to see Papiamentu grow as a language. During my classes I like to ask the student what their needs, goals and interests are so that we can combine grammar and conversation practice in which we talk about things that truly interest you. In your first class, we will be looking at the background of these languages. We will also learn how to introduce ourselves. Based on your interest(s), we will be continuing with language acquisition. That's right. We won't be learning the language.
