Originally from England, I now reside in Spain, where I enjoy an active lifestyle that includes traveling, reading and fitness. I'm currently advancing my Spanish proficiency to a C1 level, during this years-long process I’ve discovered that immersive conversation with native speakers is the most effective way to master a language. This personal experience has shaped my teaching philosophy, emphasizing practical communication to build confidence and fluency. I am a qualified CELTA teacher, who is eager to help students improve their understanding as well as develop their language skills. I am a patient person by nature and willing to adjust my methods to better help each individual learner on their journey towards fluency. I also have different skills to contribute based on my own professional life and studies. I have previously studied classical and contemporary texts at drama school; I later worked as an agent for a theatre company and then as an entertainment manager in the hospitality sector, where I was required to conduct job interviews. I can offer structured lessons for a myriad of purposes, including for business and work, preparing for job interviews, official level exams or conversation practice. The targeted language classes will be tailored to the different requirements of each student. We can also look at materials suited to your current level and proactive ways to help you reach your specific goals both in and outside of class time. In the conversation practice classes we will work on speaking and listening skills as well as building on new vocabulary, including colloquial phrases and pronunciation. Hannah is a great teacher. Her classes are challenging, which I love because being out of my comfort zone makes me more resourceful and helps me improve faster.
We can talk about anything: the news, TV shows, the differences and similarities between our countries, our lives, our hobbies, etc. It is really varied.
She also helps me prepare for interviews in English: her questions are great because they both train me to be more fluent in English and make me think of questions I was not prepared for.
Hannah is a patient, empathetic and energetic teacher.
I would recommend her.
