Ruri sensei has honestly helped my confidence so much. For so long I’ve been so scared to learn Japanese despite it being my life goal. As someone with a learning disability I was always scared that I would never be able to become fluent. Ruri sensei not only encourages me but she teaches me in ways that are so easy to understand. You can tell she genuinely cares and wants her students to learn in the most positive environment. I can’t thank her & recommend her enough!!! 🤍

Rurii has been the perfect teacher for me, always helping me learn more, always making the classes fun and interesting, I've learned so much with her and I've been able to break down the language barrier and make Japanese friends and enjoy Japanese media, the kindest teacher I've even come across, with fluency in Spanish, English and of course, Japanese, she taught me Japanese from all of those perspectives,I am truly thankful for all of the effort she's put to help me learn! in my opinion as a teacher she's 10/10 and as a person she is 20/10

I always have a great time in my lessons with るり先生! Today, I did have some questions about my homework and was glad to have her to talk to her about it. I feel like when practicing writing, without her it wouldn't be as easy to get an understanding about why something doesn't necessarily sound right or what a more natural way of speaking / writing is. After reviewing the homework, we had a fun conversation about the use of emojis around the world - I actually feel like I learned a lot of funny and interesting things about emojis; I'll definitely be using some different ones for fun now. Getting into our grammar lesson covering the end of Lesson 17 in Genki 2, there really was a ton of information to unpack about てから and 前に usage. It's funny because the book itself only covers so much, but I feel like I got a really good grasp of how to use it by learning with るり先生. I really enjoyed getting the context about how the usage can imply different things. ありがとうございました！

This was my last class of 2023 with Ruri, and started taking classes with her in February of this same year!! Time flies when you are really comfortable 😊 I've noticed an exponential growth in my Japanese level ever since I started studying with Ruri. Even on days I don't feel very confident with my Japanese, after I take a class with her I feel so much better and super motivated to continue to learn. She also teaches me so many cultural aspects from Japan which I love (understanding the culture that surrounds a language is so important to me). I promise no one would regret trying a class with her, there are very few teachers with her ability!! So so sooo kind, professional, organised and adapts quickly. I feel like I won the teacher lottery with Ruri. 本当にいつもありがとうございます、るり先生 🩵 メリークリスマスと新年あけましておめでとうございます 🎉🎉

I truly appreciate my lessons with るり先生。They are interactive and engaging. Her encouragement helps to keep me motivated to continue learning.

I had a great class with るり先生 today! I really enjoy how at the beginning of our lesson there's some time to chat and how it gives me an opportunity to practice speaking about things that have been happening lately. It's a real bonus to get to talk about some common interests like cats in Japanese with her :) We started class with going over the homework that I had, and I'm really glad to have るり先生 to go over it with me because if I was just going off an answer key, I feel like I would still have questions - the way that she explains it to me makes a lot of sense including how she covered how a native speaker would say it. After going over the homework, we covered the next part in Lesson 17 of Genki 2, ～みたいです。I think that the grammar was pretty straightforward but the exercises that るり先生 had for me were engaging and included grammar that I hadn't thought about for a while. I'm glad that she pointed out these things, as it gives me a good idea of things to review. ありがとうございました！
