Itzuri Olvera Reyes

Itzuri is currently teaching my 10-year old daughter Spanish. My main goal was for my daughter to become more comfortable speaking the language. While she understands Spanish fairly well, she lacked confidence when it came to actually using it in conversation. Itzuri has demonstrated an excellent ability to assess my daughter’s level and adjust her teaching style accordingly. She came up with a creative and engaging approach that has been working well. One of the strategies she uses involves watching short, fun videos together and then discussing them in Spanish. This not only keeps the lessons enjoyable, but also provides a natural way to practice speaking. What really stands out is how much effort Itzuri puts into creating a welcoming and low-pressure environment. She goes above and beyond to make sure my daughter feels at ease, which can be particularly challenging in an online format. ❤️

I always look forward to my classes with Itzuri! She never fails to be attentive, well prepared and fun to talk with, whether we are having conversations about music, travel, history, movies, literature or whatever. She makes good use of the technology available and always has an interesting activity ready to go. I have had many Spanish tutors over 18 years and Itzuri is among the best.
