Hello! I’m Sonti, a passionate and dedicated Afrikaans tutor from the vibrant landscapes of South Africa. My love for languages began in my multilingual household, where I grew up speaking Afrikaans, English, and isiXhosa—each holding a special place in my heart. This early exposure ignited my curiosity and appreciation for linguistic diversity, shaping my journey into language education. My academic path started at Rhodes University, where I earned my first degree with majors in Legal, Politics & International Studies, as well as Afrikaans & Netherlands. Just had my first lesson with Sonti, she is an absolutely amazing teacher! You can tell she loves teaching and sharing the language because she brings so much enthusiasm and joy to her teaching, she was also so encouraging and patient with me when I struggled with some of the the pronunciation and I can't wait for our next lesson. I already feel so much more confident that I will be able to speak Afrikaans
