Hey! I'm Jacqueline, originally from Northern California, USA, now living in Italy. Working with both kids and adults brings me joy and I love being able to engage my students in meaningful conversations. I can empathize with non native speakers because I've put in a lot of hard work to learn Italian and immerse myself in the culture over the years so I know how difficult learning can feel sometimes. Creative writing is my passion, while my downtime involves music, films, and playing with my cat or spending time outdoors. I absolutely love my job! I have been teaching both online and in schools for 8 years now. I work mainly as a teacher but sometimes as an official examiner for CEFR exam certifications and I do translation work from Italian to English. I have a lot of experience teaching Business English, Academic English and General English for all different types of learner. My goal as a teacher is to help my students empower themselves to communicate effectively and speak with confidence. My lessons are for people who want to laugh at their mistakes and have fun. I generally use a communicative approach but I will adapt my method to the student as I strongly believe that everyone learns differently. As my student, you can expect a teacher who is kind, patient (a little bit sarcastic sometimes) and also someone who will challenge you to do your best. I will track your progress and help you with difficult areas so that you can stay motivated and achieve your English goals. I will never tire of writing that Jacqueline is a fantastic teacher. It's not easy to keep the attention of a 13 year old boy for an hour, but she does it very well! Her lessons are always fun and motivating. Thanks Jacqueline! Learning English with you is so easy!!
