Javier es un profesor muy amable y paciente! Aprendimos gramática en una manera muy divertiay práctica. Javier sabe como hacer una clase emocionante y productiva en el mismo tiempo! Así que aprender español no tiene porque ser aburrido 😉

I am less nervous talking with Javier

I started taking classes with Javier when I couldn’t understand any spoken Spanish and could barely say basic phrases. His English isn’t very strong but he was able to get me through an entire hour long session using creative ways to communicate like pictures and a lot of repetition. Between his classes weekly, watching videos in Spanish and reading simple books in Spanish my comprehension and speaking skills have improved dramatically and we were able to move on to more structured classes and talk about a lot more subjects. If you are an absolute beginner like I was, I would recommend some self study first before coming to Javier so you can minimize the language barrier - but even if you don’t he is patient and able to make it work.

I keep doing classes with Javier and I keep learning - he is such a great teacher :)
