Kotona

Kotona-sensei is great with personalizing lessons! I brought up an upcoming trip to Japan, and she took what we were learning at the time and worked that into a role play scenario of checking in at a hotel. She will find a way to incorporate interests that you've brought up into lessons. Can't recommend highly enough!

She is very good and explains everything. I enjoy my class with Kotona sensei. 100% recommended.

This was my first lesson with Kotona-sensei. As an upper intermediate level learned of Japanese, it can be hard to find a teacher that understands how to challenge me. I felt the lesson was well organized and she understood my needs. Looking forward to the next one!

Another great lesson with Kotona-sensei! She has been teaching me for about 6 months. I hadn’t taken a lesson in 2 months, so I was nervous to come back. But it went fine! I actually asked her to help me with understanding/translation of song lyrics. It made me really happy that she was accommodating with tailoring the lesson to my interests! After that, we did some listening and grammar practice as usual. I always walk away from her lessons with more confidence and feeling like more of my goals are accomplished, which is why I keep signing up for lessons with her! いつもありがとうございます！

Today my in-depth grammar lesson was very helpful. Kotona-sensei has great explanations and is patient in helping me understand. I once again strongly recommend Kotona-sensei for grammar and intermediate learners!
