Yulia is absolutely the best teacher! She is very organized, patient and cares for her students. Yulia explains, reviews, and teaches new concepts in a very comprehensive way that doesn’t seem overwhelming and at the same time you are moving forward with your learning. I can’t thank Yulia enough and all the best things I can say here doesn’t even start to adequately describe how great she is! She is off the charts amazing! Thanks Yulia!

This September marks a year of learning Ukrainian with Ms. Yulia. Starting was hard because I was nervous, but I’ve never regretted it. I’ve gained confidence, begun speaking with native Ukrainians, and even had dreams in Ukrainian language twice! I’m so thankful for Ms. Yulia’s patience, immediate corrections, and clear explanations. Her lessons feel more like friendly chats than formal classes, making learning enjoyable. I am studying not only Ukrainian but other languages as well, and so far Ms. Yulia is the best teacher I’ve had on Italki. Although I have always known that I am Ukrainian by blood, the Ukrainian language wasn't my native one. Thanks to Ms. Yulia, I feel a much stronger connection to my Ukrainian roots and a closer bond with the Ukrainian people. I’m really grateful for all her support and guidance. Glory to Ukraine!

Yulia has developed my capability to speak Ukrainian very much. She is a very good teacher.

Yulia is the best language teacher I have encountered. She makes learning Ukrainian easy and fun. She is always very prompt, prepared and enthusiastic. During her lessons, I always feel comfortable, yet Yulia manages to bring me out of my comfort zone to ensure I am always learning. After 100+ lessons together, I could not recommend her more. If you are serious about learning Ukrainian, Yulia is the teacher for you!

I would highly recommend Yulia to anyone interested in learning Ukrainian, I always enjoy our conversations and look forward to every lesson.

Maybe now, on the first day of a new year, is a good time to post an updated review of Yulia-as-a-teacher-of-the-Ukrainian- language. In a word - actually, that will most likely morph to more than just one word- (almost) sublime. (Almost) all the elements of a supremely effective teacher are present; authoritative knowledge of the subject matter, the ability to explain the intricacies of abstruse grammar points clearly and yet concisely, the innate empathy towards the struggles of a learner attempting to get to grips with a new language and the ability to both engage and inspire the student at hand. So, an absolutely top-notch teacher. Why then, the (almost) qualifier? Simply put, Yulia is just a little too 'nice'; if you want a strict, unforgiving and unsympathetic martinet, she is just maybe not your best choice. Otherwise, you cannot do better ...
