Phạm Yang

One of my favorite teachers for Vietnamese! I feel that i'm progressing really quickly and are learning sentence structure, syntax, and grammar in an effective and calculated manner. Would definitely recommend.

The timing has been perfect with Yang Yang. Our lesson topic was just writing formal and informal letters. I was able to write a formal letter to a Vietnamese restaurant in search of work experience. Yang Yang helped touch it up, and the owner was very impressed with the quality and effort put forth. For anyone learning Vietnamese, stick with it. There might be difficult structures, difficult accents, trouble understanding native speakers.... but one day, it will click and come together. It will make sense. 2.25 years studying with Yang Yang has completely changed the direction of my life, and I look forward to many more lessons with her.

Yang is a great teacher and has helped me get significantly more fluent with the language in a short amount of time. Lessons can toggle between extremely structured or free base if/when you need them depending on your goals as those can always change over time. Yang's ability to break down the Northern Accent has helped me progress with having more confidence and understanding given my need to utilize the language for many conversations in my day to day life given I have to interact with both Northern and Southern accents for work. 10/10 would highly recommend taking classes with her!
