Hi! I’m Michael Robson, a Canadian English teacher from Vancouver. I’ve taught adult learners from around the world, and I’m thrilled to meet you here on iTalki.

In the past I’ve worked in teaching academies with 5-15 students each class (students ranged from every part of the world). I look forward to working with you on your conversation skills to help you in your future endeavours! I have a range of fun topics that should last us for weeks. Michael is incredibly attentive and has meticulously corrected numerous minor grammar issues, greatly aiding me in speaking more naturally. Furthermore, he has provided me with excellent idiomatic exercises for practice.I am indeed not proficient in using these idioms, but the exercises have been extremely helpful.

Michael is a professional and genuinely caring teacher. He always prepares engaging and well-designed topics, so you never feel passive in class. Instead, he brings out the best in you when it comes to expressing yourself. Through these lessons, my oral English has improved significantly (although I know I still need more practice). I now feel much more confident when communicating with others in English, and that confidence comes largely from Michael’s constant encouragement. It may sound like high praise, but I truly mean it when I say that Michael is a remarkably gifted teacher. As a university student and an educator myself, I can see many qualities in him that I aspire to learn from. Overall, these lessons are absolutely worth taking — whether you want to improve your spoken English, build confidence, or strengthen your sense of self-efficacy:)
