Hi, I'm teacher Jez, and I will help you improve your communication skills using English, Tagalog, or Waray here in Italki. I live in the province of Calbayog City, Samar, Philippines, a place called the "city of waterfalls." I am a native speaker of Waray since I grew up here in our locality, but I also know how to speak Tagalog since it is the national language here in the Philippines. I am also proficient in using the English language for every conversation. I love reading books and surfing the Internet, and every time I have free time, I always spend it together with my family because I am a family-oriented person.

I have been a licensed professional teacher here in the Philippines for 5 years. Throughout the years of my experience, I developed my communication skills as well as my confidence in delivering lessons. I am a friendly and approachable type of teacher. I don't put pressure on my students because I want them to learn as simply as possible. But sometimes challenges seem important in the teaching and learning process. As the main source of knowledge, I am the one who will definitely adjust so that I can cater to the diverse needs of my students. I always make sure that my learners will have an enjoyable moment during my class. Maintaining harmonious relationship with them is very important.

My teaching approach is simply more conversational, or "free talk." I just love asking random questions to learn more about my students and be able to evaluate their level. I will also provide tests and other learning materials to assess the learning during my class and to track the learners' improvement. Students and their progress will always be my top priority by giving them enough attention all through out the learning process.
