I started learning Chinese Danxia and I improved rapidly. We started with HSK and we rapidly reached 5 starting from HSK 1 over the course of a few months. She is also extremely adaptive, if she notices that a certain method isn’t having great effect, she provides alternative to ways of studying.

Teacher Danxia is the BEST! She is the 5 Ps --Professional, personable, patient, prepared, punctual. If you look at her recommendations, you will see many of her students are in the 100+ club, meaning we have taken more than 100 lessons from her. There is a reason we started with 老师丹霞, and we are continuing with 老师丹霞！ Highly recommend!

Exactly what I was looking for in an instructor. I had studied rigorously for years and attained a decent level but had stopped for over a decade. She quickly recognized my strengths and weaknesses and has customized a plan to reach my goals. Shortly after first lesson, I purchased a 20 lesson pack which should in itself show how satisfied I was with this teacher.

Time for an update July 2024 - 800+ lessons and counting. Thanks to Ms. Danxia, our two children have not only learned to speak Chinese but have also developed a deep appreciation for Chinese culture through the study of poetry and now writing. Ms. Danxia's incorporation of traditional Chinese poems has enriched their learning experience, providing them with a greater understanding of the language’s nuances and beauty. And our relatives love hearing the children recite the poems. Our youngest child also loves to tells us all the new words she learned in class right after each lesson. We are very thankful to have Ms. Danxia as a teacher for our two young children.

I highly recommend Danxia! In just our first 30-minute lesson, she was incredibly organized and professional. We thoroughly discussed my learning history, pinpointed my specific pronunciation issues, and mapped out a clear plan forward. We even managed to complete a trial lesson together. Immediately afterward, she sent over structured study materials and Quizlet links for our next session. She clearly knows exactly what she is doing and takes her students' progress seriously. I’ve been enjoying both conversations on various topics with Danxia and film-based learning in her lessons. She is calm, patient and dedicated and I learn a lot in every lesson. I also love that she often proactively introduces idioms or sayings to describe some situations we are talking about, not only simply help me find the words I’m looking for or express myself correctly.
