I’m Devon, a Canadian English teacher, meditation guide, and lifelong explorer of Eastern philosophy, now based in Bali. For 20 years, I’ve helped adults across Asia speak English with confidence, not just correctness, by blending language with mindfulness and real-world wisdom. Whether you’re discussing travel, Zen, or daily life, my approach is relaxed and conversational. Think of our lessons as chats by a campfire: natural, engaging, and free from textbook stress. My goal as a teacher is simple: to help you speak English with confidence, ease, and authenticity.
After two decades living and working in Asia, I’ve taught students from China, Japan, Korea, and around the world, both in person and online. My background in music, nightlife culture, philosophy, and meditation helps me create lessons that feel natural, meaningful, and engaging, not mechanical or stressful.
I specialize in working with adult learners who want more than textbooks: people who enjoy thoughtful conversation, exploring ideas, and learning English as a way to better express who they already are.

I focus on conversation-based English for real life. My lessons help you speak more fluently and naturally, build confidence, reduce anxiety, and respond more easily in real conversations.
We talk the way people actually speak, like friends in a café or colleagues at work. I give gentle corrections with live notes and supportive feedback, so you improve without losing your flow.
You’re welcome to choose topics you enjoy, such as travel, philosophy, culture, work, meditation, music, or daily life.
