Hello! My name is Josh. I am a professional English educator here in Canada. I recommend all my students to schedule their English sessions at least 1-2 weeks in advance (if possible) in order to guarantee themselves a spot in my calendar and to allow me time for preparation. This means that, unfortunately, I cannot typically accept lesson requests that are sent less than 24 hours before the lesson is to begin–I am sorry.

*** MARCH/APRIL 2024 UPDATE *** I am available to tutor in the English language 40 hours per week, five days a week, not including local holidays (March 29-April 2, 2024) or vacation time. I recommend that students book sessions at least 1-2 weeks in advance if possible. I look forward to helping you improve your English abilities! See you soon! :)

Depending on the student, my lessons may include the following: -conversational practice (informal and formal) -pronunciation exercises -metalinguistic skill training -second language acquisition methods -intercultural learning -literary theory -literary analysis -essay writing -creative writing -compositional writing -editing (collaborative and independent) -interview skills -Canadian resume building -CELPIP exam preparation (speaking portion only) -IELTS exam preparation (speaking portion only) -supplementary sources

Josh was very supportive and patient. He explains clearly his methods and encourage the conversation. He showed me when I made mistakes, in a kind way, without being rude. He also shows interest in what I was saying, what makes me feel comfortable on keep talking without embarrassment.
