I am a very enthusiastic service teacher who makes sure that students are constantly actively engaged in classs. I understand that learning a new language is not easy which is why I am very patient. My lessons are very engaging, and I ensure to always keep my learners captivated. I teach through colourful PowerPoint slides, flash cards etc. I believe that learning should be playful and that young learners learn through play. Learning should be very fun rather than stressful. I look forward to every lesson with Lona. She consistently brings up interesting topics and provides great insights into life in South Africa. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable, but she also has a warm, friendly, and funny personality that makes learning Afrikaans a true joy. After just a few sessions, I already feel much more confident in my understanding and expression of the language. Lona's teaching style keeps me motivated, and I feel lucky to have such a wonderful teacher. Highly recommended!
