My name is Tomer, I'm from Jerusalem where I was born and raised.
I have a degree in linguistics and cognitive science from the Hebrew University. I'm a professional dancer and a contemporary dance teacher. I speak English at a native-like level, and I speak Italian at an advanced level (C1). I also studied Latin, and I'm currently learning Spanish.
Mi chiamo Tomer, vivo a Gerusalemme in cui sono nato e cresciuto. Ho una laurea in linguistica e scienze cognitive preso l'Universita Ebraica. My studies in linguistics and my experience in teaching dance in Israel and abroad (in Hebrew, English and Italian), have given me a strong grasp of the structure and grammar of various languages on one hand, but also an understanding that a practical hands-on approach is usually the best for learning a new language. My lessons are based on communication and conversation, as I believe it to be the most important language skill. In addition, I always try to adapt my lessons to the interest, needs and level of each student. We can focus on conversation, on reading and writing skills, and on the grammar and structure of the Hebrew language. Tomer is a great teacher, very friendly and has great attention to detail. I'm not the easiest student because with my linguistic background I'm a bit greedy with the language learning and expect a lot of additional information around the actual topic but Tomer was very open to my learning style from the get go. I feel very supported. I'm definitely gonna continue learning with him!
