A former legal professional turned CTCSOL certified Chinese teacher, who loves children and combines teaching with hands-on activities. I am also an enthusiast and promoter of traditional Chinese culture. I was born in Hunan Province in south China. During my teenage years, I moved to Beijing the capital city situated in north China. People say China is a vast country. That is very true - the language and culture from the south and the north vary widely, but luckily I have knowledge and experience of both. The classes I can teach include: Legal Chinese, Business Chinese, HSK, YCT, Chinese for children, Conversational Chinese, Chinese for travelers, Chinese culture, etc For children’s classes, I introduce handcrafts and musical instruments in addition to teaching the language. Children tend to develop a deeper interest in the Chinese language when these activities are related to the Chinese traditions, images, and original stories. For business classes, thanks to my previous work experience, I am able to help students communicate based on typical scenarios whilst giving them a comprehensive understanding of the language.
