Hello! I’m Merve, a bilingual English–Turkish speaker with 10+ years of experience living and teaching in the UK. As a former lawyer and PhD graduate in environmental law, I bridge cultures and languages with ease. My passion is helping learners master languages with accuracy, whether for travel, work or everyday life. When I am not teaching, I enjoy exploring new languages and practising jiu jitsu. I have a passion for teaching and extensive experience across various settings. I have taught languages previously and worked as a law lecturer in the UK for several years. Currently, I teach English and Turkish on italki, and I also instruct Brazilian jiu-jitsu. We can focus on English and Turkish grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, conversation, reading and writing. Please feel free to book a trial session with me so we can discover what works best for you. I will provide tailored teaching materials designed to meet your personal needs. If you are an absolute beginner in Turkish, we can conduct the session in English.
