Jakob Schildt

Classes with Jakob are always great because he’s calm, patient, and really good at tuning in to where you’re at with the language. He adapts the lessons to the level and needs, which makes everything feel relevant and manageable. He’s creative in the way he teaches, and the atmosphere is relaxed and open. It’s easy to ask questions, make mistakes, and he has a great sense of humour, so there’s always a good vibe, engaging, and full of learning.

I have truly enjoyed my lesson with Jacob. I have learnt so much and become much more confident in speaking danish. Jacob always has an interesting topic to speak about and has so many ways to engage such as reading articles, watching clips…etc. I look very much forwards to all my lessons and couldn’t recommend him enough. The lessons with Jakob are always great fun. We started working together a few months ago and I made great progress in verbal communication since as opposed to my earlier attempts. This is due to his style of teaching and the motivation I pulled from it to engage with the language in everyday life. Jakob always prepares some intriguing topics that provide the base of our conversation but also let us to wander around where my associations bring us. He calibrates well when to correct my recurrent mistakes and when just let carried by the flow. It’s a pleasure to have him as a guide. I can warmly recommend him.

I started taking lessons with this teacher when my Danish level was around A2, and I only had 10 days and 10 lessons left before my PD3 exam. Thanks to his help, I managed to get a grade 7, which I’m really proud of! He is extremely kind and patient. No matter how many mistakes I made, he never laughed or made me feel bad — instead, he calmly corrected me every time and helped me improve. His supportive attitude made me feel comfortable and more confident during every lesson. Danish pronunciation has always been very difficult for me, but he took the time to explain exactly how to say each word and helped me understand the pronunciation step by step. The lessons were intense but well-structured, and I always felt that he was fully committed to helping me succeed. I highly recommend him to anyone preparing for the PD3 exam or looking to improve their Danish in a friendly and supportive environment.

My first lesson with Jakob was really encouraging. He explains things well and adjusts the lesson to my comfort level and pace.
